Just wanted to share with all of you about one of our own and how his legacy is still being honored. We received these pictures from his daughter, Melissa Woodruff-Gonzalo, of SP4 Leon Lester Woodruff, who served with us from August 68 – March 69 in H Company, 2/11, ACR. Unfortunately Leon passed away Christmas morning 2016, from the effect of (PSP) Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a neurological disease. I had the good fortune of talking with him a few years back. Sometime during his tour in Vietnam a photographer took his picture while he was taking a break in the action. So Bravo Troop 3/6th ACR took his image and is using it in a positive way to inspire their troops. The family is very proud and honored that the 6th ACR is using his legacy. Thank you to the Woodruff/Gonzalo family for sharing.
