Listen up!  The American Legion Post in Newport beach, CA. is holding its 2nd annual "Hoedown" on Sat. night, March 3rd, 2007.  The funds this year will go to the scholarship program for the families of our 21 KIA's from Iraq.  Last year we raised $12,000 which went to the KIA Memorial at Ft. Irwin.  We are hoping to raise even more this year for the scholarship fund. 

 

Last year we had a good bunch of Vietnam guys and a group of soldiers from Ft. Irwin.  This year we need even more "vintage" Blackhorse troopers and have been told there will very likely be a group of soldiers from Ft. Irwin there again this year.

 

Please, forward this to every Cav trooper on your list so that we get to everyone who can possibly make it.  I know some of you guys live too far away to come, but you know people who live in Southern Calif., and they can come.
