I am sending my condolence with my love and respect of this good and honorable man.
The 11th Cavalry Troopers about 40 + years ago and far from home in the jungles of Vietnam & Cambodia we took great care of one another so we could make it home to our mothers, fathers, wives, sisters, brothers and other loved-ones.----------------- --> Now once again we must say our goodbyes and continue to take our strides for the time will come our journey will be done and forever together with all of our loved-ones.

I can't be absolutely positive this is the same SSG Brown I remember, but it sounds right.
I remember sharing a perimeter with a SSG Brown of HHT, 2nd Squadron, at Bandit Hill around the '68/'69 Christmas - New Years timeframe.
And doing a bit of horsetrading with him.....I needed some batteries for my track (M113) and he needed a ground tripod mount for a M2, .50 cal. to mount his .50 on top of an AVLB to get enough height to clear the berm.
Had some tense nights there on occasion but don't remember getting a ground attack, but it was nice to have that .50 up high where it could really provide cover for us.
