I'll always love and miss you dad.

I know when you are around me I can feel it, your presence has not gone un-noticed.

My goals for this new year are to visit places of comfort and relaxation and anywhere I go, I know you'll come along for the ride and I look forward to spending those times with you,

keeping you involved with everyhing I do !

I miss you and you're never far from my mind.
I love you, you're the best dad, I'll miss you calling me darlin or sweetheart.

To my father,

I only knew you for a short time ... But in that short time you made me feel loved and that you were proud of me.

I will miss your calls and your kind words.

We will meet again and this time it will be forever.

Glad that we got together a few years ago with Dave Mendoza and Mark McVay in Denver.

I enjoyed our many long phone conversations over the past 2 years.

Glad that you and Brad Durant connected with each other.

Enjoyed meeting Joise and my condolances go to her and your family.

You will be missed by all. "Blackhorse" forever !

I met Arthur at Blackhorse base camp in 1969, just before going out to the field.

He had transferred from the 919th Combat Engineers Company, of the 11th Cavalry.

One day he confided in me about a "dear john" he had gotten from his wife.
I supported him through his emotional pain, and we supported each other thereafter.

He always had my back and I his.

January 17,2013 was the first and last time I saw him since the "Nam".

We spoke briefly on the phone (throat surgery), and planned to make contact.

His wife Josie gave me that day a Blackhorse cap he had left for me and one for the rest of our crew (Mark, Ron, and Dave).

" He will always be remembered."

Maybe one day we will finally meet in Fiddlers Green.
