2024 Memorial Day - Wreath Laying at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial
All Blackhorse Troopers, family, and friends are invited to participate in the Annual Memorial Day wreath laying at the Wall.
What: We will initially gather by 10:00 AM near the statue of the Three Soldiers, make introductions, say a few words, and then informally carry the wreath to the apex of the Wall. Look for the Blackhorse Patch Wreath that will be there by 9:30 AM.
When: 10:00 AM, Monday, May 27, 2024. Please be there by 9:45 AM.
Where: Near the Three Soldiers Statue at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, Washington, D.C. The physical address (for GPS) of the Wall is: 5 Henry Bacon Drive NW, Washington, DC. You can also use: 23rd St. NW & Constitution Avenue, Washington, DC 20037

2025 Wreath Laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Why: The wreath will be laid at the Tomb in observance of the 124th anniversary of the activation of the 11th Cavalry on February 2, 1901 at Fort Myer, Virginia.
What: The laying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
When: Immediately following the 11:00 A.M. Changing of the Guard, Sunday, February 2, 2025
Where: At the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Washington, D.C.
